“Inside Out”

STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE
From the artist: Grew up in Cocoa beach Florida, started surfing at the age of 5. Always loved art and the ocean. As an animation and illustration graduate from San Jose state, it pushed me to do a series of paintings from surf travel around the world. Several photographs from our travels inspire me to paint more from real life. I spent significant time on land and underwater during our travels to Indonesia. Seeing both perspectives helped in my series. This one being called "Inside Out" also a great photo of Otto Flores in the barrel inspired this perspective to do an underwater barrel painting.
I still surf with my kids and I am hoping to do a series from all of our travels together.
