This was one of those lazy “Friday morning light” days.Friday’s were usually the slower news and traffic days of the week in L.A. (hence Friday light) - Quiet days like this would give us the opportunity to buzz around town and the coast to sight see and provide “beauty” shots for our morning newscast. A cold front had passed through our region the previous day and this morning was one of those classic clear, crisp post-storm SoCal days. South facing Malibu wasn’t seeing much swell - but it was a gorgeous start to the day.
ARTIST BIO
Rick spent over 3 decades at a local Los Angeles news station covering weather, traffic and breaking news. Many of those years he was an airborne reporter flying across Southern California. As a meteorologist, he used the visuals from the rotorcraft as a teaching tool whenever possible, showing and telling all about the air and sea and the science behind it.
